البحث عن الشفق الاخضر Aurora Hunting

بعد سنتين من اول رحلة لتصوير الشفق الاخضر في ايسلندا عاد بي الحنين لهذه الظاهرة خصوصا اني ماكنت راضي عن النتائج الي طلعت فيها بالسفرة الاولى ( اذا ماشفتوا الموضوع الاول تقدرون اتشوفونه هني). فقررت هذه المره التوجه للنرويج وبالتحديد لجزيرة لوفوتن في الشمال. هذي السفرة قررت لاول مرة اني اذهب مع قروب مصورين وكانوا كلهم اجانب الا شخص واحد خليجي اخوي محمد المدفع من الامارات. اختيار هذه الجزيرة كان لعدة اسباب منها موقعها وجمال طبيعتها والشركة النرويجية الي رتبت الرحلة كانت من نفس الجزيرة. الرحلة مدتها كانت ٩ ليالي في منتصف شهر مارس عام ٢٠١٥. موسم الشفق الاخضر في النصف الشمالي للكرة الارضية يبداء من منتصف شهر ٩ (سبتمبر) الي اخر ٣ (مارس) او بداية شهر ٤ (ابريل). اختيار هذا الوقت في اخر فصل الشتاء حيث اتقل العواصف فتزداد فرصة المشاهدة بالذات بعد التجربة الاولى في ايسلندا والي كانت في شهر ١ واغلب الوقت كانت الاجواء عاصفة والغيوم تغطي السماء. خلال هذه الرحلة انتقلنا بين ٣ مناطق وهي ريني وليكنيس وسانيا. بما ان الرحلة كانت لتصوير الشفق الاخضر والطبيعة فاغلب اوقات التصوير كانت في الليل ووقت الشروق والغروب (الاوقات الذهبية للتصوير) ،وكنا نستريح في منتصف النهار.
After two years from my first trip for Aurora hunting in Iceland and since since I was not satisfied with the result from that trip (you can see the post about it here), I arranged another trip but this time to Norway. I went to Lofoten Island but this time with photography group from different countries. Lofoten was selected due to its location, the landscape there and the tour company was based there so they know every thing about it. The trip was for 9 nights and it was in the mid of March 2015. Aurora or northern lights season starts in this area between mid September until and of March or early April. During this trip we stayed in three locations; Reine, Leknes & Senja. Since this trip was mainly for the Aurora and landscape, the shooting took place during night and Sunset/Sunraise and we were resting during the day.
Reine
كانت محطتنا الاولى وقضينا في هذه المنطقة ٤ ليالي قمنا بتصوير المناطق المحيطه بها من بحار وشلالات. السكن كان في اكواخ Eliassen Rorbuer وتعد من اجمل اكواخ الجزيرة . شاهدنا الشفق في ٣ ليالي من الاربعة الي قضيناها في هذا المكان. الشفق في اليوم الثاني كان خيالي. بدينا التصوير وكان خفيف وخطوط بسيطة وفجآءه السماء انقلبت للون الاخضر بسبب مايعرف باسم انفجار الارورا. كنا انشوف الشفق يتحرك فوقنا وكان منظر رهيب لدرجة اني استلقيت على ظهري وكنت اشوف السماء واصور بدون ماشوف الكاميرا. من كثر الوناسة قلت لقائد الرحلة انا خلاص صورت الي ابيه ماعندي مشكلة ارجع بلادي من باجر.
This was our first stop, we spent in this area 4 nights and we stayed in Eliassen Rorbuer lodge which is one of the beautiful places to stay in this island. During these 4 nights we saw the aurora in three. The second day was magnificent. The night started with small lines of green light when suddenly the sky turned green, the aurora exploded in the sly. We were able to see the light moving above us like waves. I laid down on my back looking at the sky and shooting without looking at the camera. I was so happy that I told the tour guide that am satisfied with the result I can go home from tomorrow.
Leknes
بعد الانتهاء من التصوير في منطقة ريني قمنا بالتوجه لمنطقة ليكنيس وقضينا فيها ٣ ليالي قمنا فيها ايضا بتصوير الشفق والمناظر الطبيعية بالمنطقة.
After spending 4 nights in Reine we moved to Leknes and stayed there for 3 nights.
Senja
باقي الرحلة قضيناها في منطقة سانيا. المشوار من ليكنيس لسانيا كان مفروض يستغرق ٧ ساعات بالسياره ولكن لظروف الجو والثلوج قطعناها في ١١ ساعة.
We spent the remaining days in Senja, the trip from Leknes to Senja usually takes 7 hours however we took 11 hours due to the weather condition and snow.
الحمدلله في هذه الرحلة حققت اغلب الاهداف واهمها تصوير الشفق الاخضر حيث استطعنا انشوفه في ٧ ليالي خلال هذه الرحلة على عكس الرحلة الاولى لايسلندا. ذكرت بالبداية ان اختيار وقت الرحلة في منتصف شهر مارس لانه نهاية الشتاء والاجواء اتكون اهداء ولكن عامل التوفيق يلعب دور. كان في قروب قبلنا خذوا نفس الرحلة مع الشركة في بداية الشهر وماتوفقوا في شوفة الشفق غير مرتين بسبب الجو.
استفدت من الرحلة السابقة من ناحية الملابس فخذت احتياطاتي كلها هذي المره مع حذاء بوت عازل للماء والبرودة عشان نقدر ندخل الانهار الصغيرة ونلتقط الصور. الشركة وفرت لنا المسامير للاحذية كنا نستعملها في الاماكن الي ممكن اتسبب انزلاق لنا.
بعض النصائح الاضافية من هذه الرحلة:
١- الملابس المقاومة للماء جدا مهمة ومنها حذاء البوت الطويل والمسامير
٢- اختيار الشركة المناسبة ذات الخبرة والمرشدين فيها مصورين
٣- عدم المجازفة باخذ لقطات من زوايا خطرة. قائد الرحلة كسر عدستين وكاميرا وواحد من الاعضاء صاده التواء ماقدر يكمل اغلب الرحلة معانا
٤- المشي بالثلوج يكون خط احيانا فيجب الانتباه. انا كنت امشي في مكان مليان ثلج ومرة وحدة حطيت رجلي بمكان الا انا نازل في حفرة والحمدلله ماتعورت
٥- اخذ كروت وبطاريات كفاية وبعض الاكل في الشنطة لان بعض الطلعات تستمر لوقت طويل بالذات وقت الشفق وفي الاجواء الباردة
In the end of the trip I was happy that I achieved my main targets especially the aurora as we so it in 7 nights. I mentioned in the beginning that I selected this time at the end of winter to avoid storms, however you need to be lucky also as there was a group with the same tour company just before us however they saw it twice due to bad weather and storms.
I learned for the first trip to Iceland so I took better waterproof clothing including long boot to enable us to enter the freezing water and take photos. Also the tour company provided us with the shoes spikes to use it in some places.
Additional tips I learned during this trip
1- The waterproof clothing is essential including the boot and spikes.
2- Select a tour company in which the tour guides are photographers.
3- Do not take so much risk to take photos from difficult angles. The tour guide broke 2 lenses and a body in this trip and a team member sprained ankle and he could not join us in some part of the trips were we needed to walk a lot.
4- Walking in the snow could be risky as you do not know where you are stepping. I fall in a hole covered by snow while walking.
5- Take enough memory card, batteries and snacks as you will sometimes stay in the cold for long hours shooting.
التجربة الاولى لي مع مجموعة مصورين كانت ممتازة حيث تك تبادل الخبرات وتكوين صداقات مستمرة لليوم.
